Adam co-founded the Boston chapter with David in 2015. Adam grew up in Milton and attended Trinity College, where he was captain of the cross country team and teammate of DWRT co-founder Matt Wong. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and worked as a lawyer and advisor for the Deval Patrick administration. He has also served as a volunteer assistant track coach at the Epiphany School in Dorchester. While most of his racing experience is in shorter distances (28:06 8K XC, 35:38 10K), Adam is excited about a foray into the half and full marathons. He lives in the Back Bay with his wife and two sons.
Laura started running with the Dashing Whippets in New York City in 2014. Since has ran multiple half marathons, and other races with the whippets. James has been running with the Boston Whippets since their inception in the fall of 2015. He picked up running later in life, inspired by a Dashing Whippet from NY who convinced him to sign up for his first race. He has since been bitten by the running bug and loves running and training with the Boston Whippets. James recently completed his first marathon, finishing the 2017 Providence Marathon in 3:36. James is a postdoctoral fellow in Biology at MIT, and has a bachelor’s from Brown University and a PhD from UCSF. When not running, he can be found moving small amounts of liquid around the lab.
David was a member of the DWRT leadership team in New York and relocated to Boston in September of 2015. An attorney, he is also a RRCA-certified coach and has run 18 marathons, including 6 Boston Marathons.
