Training

Our group runs include a wide range of paces and distances. Runners of all levels are welcome!

We currently host three weekly runs (checkout Meetup for full details and updates):

  1. Saturday Morning Long Run in Boston at 8:00 AM: We usually have routes ranging from 8-20 miles depending on what people want to do that week. Paces / pace groups typically range from 7 – 9 minute miles (though we welcome all paces). Routes wander from Somerville to Cambridge and across Boston to keep it interesting. Starting in Summer 2019 we’ll be meeting at the Tracksmith Trackhouse on Newbury Street to start our long runs. Check out the Meetup page for details.
  2. Tuesday Night Speed Workout (Short Intervals) in Cambridge at 6:45 PM: We meet at the MIT Outdoor Track (Steinbrenner Stadium) in Cambridge for shorter interval and hill workouts, both on and off the track. These workouts are customized for individual race training plans.
  3. Thursday Morning Speed Workout (Long Intervals and Tempos) in Cambridge at 6:30 AM: We meet at the MIT Outdoor Track again, same location as the Tuesday Night Speed Workouts, for longer intervals and tempo workouts, typically off the track and around the river. Get your day off to a great start.
