DWRT-Boston is a Boston-based running team and a chapter of the Dashing Whippets Running Team in NYC. Since launching in 2015, the Boston chapter has forged a closely-knit community of runners of varying abilities, united by our enjoyment of competitive running and our belief that camaraderie and teamwork enhance the running experience and drive our best performances.  Drawing on the larger Dashing Whippets organization, the Boston chapter offers the intimacy of a small team with the resources of a large running club.  DWRT thrives on the diversity of its team members and maintains low annual dues to maximize inclusivity.  We are excited to expand our presence in Boston and continue to welcome new members.

  1. Wednesday Track Workouts: Join us Wednesday mornings for a workout at the MIT track or nearby on the road. Feel free to bring your own workout, join one of ours, or use a DWRT training plan for different levels (beginner/intermediate/advanced). Workouts will be updated on Meetup week by week.
  2. Friday Easy Miles @ Conversational Pace: Meet up on the Boston Common for a 4-6 mile loop at about a 9-10 min/mile pace.
  3. Saturday Morning Long Run in Boston at 7:30 AM: We’ll typically have routes of 3-5 miles and 8-12 miles. Paces / pace groups typically range from 7 – 9 minute miles (though we welcome all paces). Routes wander from Somerville to Cambridge and across Boston to keep it interesting.
